Courtyard Shops

Draft and mockup for client that ended up not following through with the installation. I loved this piece and would have loved to install it as wayfinding for the property. This piece is available for installation!

Arden and Chris

Client: For the wedding of Arden & Chris

Prompt: Hand painted welcome day favors for guests & hand engraved compact mirrors to use as place cards for each guest.

The So Happi Together team approached me about creating some special goodies for the Kpop Demon Hunters voice actor star, Arden Cho! I loved the movie and her part as Rumi so I was thrilled to be tapped for this wedding! I normally don’t do weddings, but when the pieces and requests are special like this, I made an exception.

Arden had 180 mini bottles of Don Julio Tequila that she wanted to gift to friends and family for the welcome dinner in Italy. I painted florals on the front of the bottle in the colors that she requested. I also engraved a gold compact mirror for each guest with their first name and florals and leaves around the front of the compact. Everyone loved these little touches and the details for this wedding made it into Vogue Magazine!

Amryn

Client: Amryn Wine

Prompt: Create logo and watercolor illustration for the wine label

I met Kara Wang indirectly on screen! I was watching a show she was on and met her in person at an event that I had painted watercolor portraits for. She kept the illustration all these years and reached out when she was preparing for her first varietal on her label! The inspiration for the illustration came directly from Kara and her time visiting her parents’ home in China. The mountains and tree were painted in multiple layers to keep the misty look. The logo was hand-lettered and created as a free-flowing script. All signage is watercolor painted.

It was a pleasure working on this project and continues to do so for each new varietal she releases!

Jyuls by Yu

Client: Jyuls by Yu

Prompt: Logo & brand identity

I’ve known Jennifer for many years and through it all, she’s been a very creative and driven person. So when she mentioned her jewelry line, we decided to work together and find something unique and special for her brand.

Hello Pasadena

Client: One Colorado

Prompt: Live painting that embodies Pasadena during their annual ArtWalk.

Originally, the client and I had discussed installing outdoor murals and wayfinding for Old Town Pasadena. After going through the logistics, the project was scrapped. However, to establish a footing within Pasadena, the client wanted to make sure that there was an event during the ArtWalk. I proposed creating a moveable wall so that they could bring it out during other events as well as making it easy to store in between events. I started the painting at home in my studio and finished the rest on-site at the event. However, lighting was pretty bad and it got very dark so the last bit of touch ups were done the next morning. Overall, everyone loved it and it was fun interacting with the guests of the ArtWalk throughout the evening!

Rare Beauty 2

Client: Rare Beauty fragrance launch

Prompt: Personalize fragrance bottles for each guest

Rare Beauty hosted an internal launch party for the launch of their first fragrance with Sephora executives at their HQ along with a speech of gratitude and encouragement from Selena Gomez. This event was specifically for their employees only and made sure that all were given a free bottle of this inaugural fragrance.

All bottles were hand-engraved and filled with gold.

Vegamour

Client: Vegamour

Prompt: Place cards for each guest attending for the launch of the CBD infused serums

I wanted to be more creative about place cards and have people engaged with their seats. I suggested that if I could get all the portraits of the guests attending, I would be able to watercolor paint each guest. This was such a fun event and grateful to Glowing PR Agency for having me there to get some fun shots of the event!

Through Peace

Client: Through Peace / Esther Lim

Prompt: Create cover art and internal lettering, illustrations, and title pages for a booklet regarding race & bias education that will be distributed within all the schools of the Los Angeles Unified School DIstrict.

I was given the prompt and since it was for teens, I wanted to span all ages as well as different ethnicities, disability, discovery, and friendship within the illustrations. Each vignette is purposeful in showing relationships and creating belonging. I didn’t want to add facial features and create bias through them, rather I left the figures open for interpretation for students to imagine themselves as one of these characters.

PAC-12

Client: PAC-12

Prompt: Customize and personalize mini footballs for PAC-12 Media Day for players, coaches, and guests during throughout the event.

Each mini football was customized with PAC-12 graphics and the school of choice by guests. I had the best time personalizing mini footballs and meeting players from all across the nation!

Very Asian Foundation

Client: Very Asian Foundation x Korean American Community Foundation

Prompt: Usage of a previous illustration for the swag bags distributed during their annual luncheon celebrating Korean American women.

I had created this illustration in 2023 for personal work and presented it to the client as an option. After some tweaks to fit the theme, it was printed on tote bags for all the attendees to take home with goodies. It was an honor working for these two organizations!

Tierra Blooms

Client: Tierra Blooms Nursery

Prompt: Create signage for a local business

The client asked for a new logo and signage for their business. They had built the frame and boards so I took it home and created bright signage that patrons can see from the street and driving by. This business has seen immense growth after the sign went up since the town knew what they were selling. It’s created a wonderful addition to the street.

TAWA

Client: TAWA

Prompt: Create an indoor mural for guests to collectively enjoy and somewhat interactive.

I wanted to consider the wall and the demographics of this space. This mall is predominantly Asian and Chinese speaking. Even though there are a lot of different ways I could incorporate Asian motifs, I wanted it to feel like it was something everyone could relate to and enjoy.

The illustration represents all the different zodiac signs across the wall and lettering in the middle that says Be Wild. Something contrary to most Asian cultures. The client also wanted to add on artwork to match the flow and area that it will be housed in for some windows that would face into the space. I created some graphics and colors to show what the final would look like and it was installed as a vinyl.

SASA

Client: The Shops at Santa Anita

Prompt: Create an outdoor patio mural for Bafang restaurant and the Shops.

I wanted to stick to the aesthetics of Bafang’s branding and fun illustrations. Since the mural would be located at the mall, I wanted to add in a nod to the mountains in Santa Anita with the noodle waves. The installation will be wrapped around the building so that it’s visible from the parking lot.

Scaled image for all three walls.

Rare Beauty 1

Client: Rare Beauty for AAPI heritage month 2025

Rare Beauty hosted a beautiful celebration of AAPI heritage at their HQ. This event was specifically for their employees only and the internal event was a massive success.

All compacts were hand painted live on-site for guests and they came to pick up their orders later in the day.

Designs and mock ups were created for the team and they chose the 4 illustrations below.

Tiger illustration with florals and colorful details.

Lanterns and stars around the compact.

Kintsugi lines in gold.

Lotus flowers and water lilies floating in a stream.

Whimsy Pasadena

Client: Whimsy Pasadena

SOW: Transform exterior of event space doors and elevator shaft. Fun and colorful design to celebrate the city that the space is in.

This mural is the most photographed and reposted image on social media out of all my murals. After many years, I still get tagged on photos at least a few times a month from someone visiting the site! It’s such a joy that this piece still gets love in the city!
